Governance Mechanisms

When it comes to new Cloud solutions, operational governance is the shared responsibility of business managers and senior IT managers. It spans the introduction of Cloud systems developed through projects into service and the changes to ‘business-as-usual’ IT operations, through such mechanisms as Governance Committee Boards.

The governing committee is responsible for evaluating projects and ongoing operations that could result in risk to a business unit. It reviews the appropriate Governance Mechanisms in order to implement policies, procedures and change control to mitigate new and evolving risks brought on by the Cloud.
